Exam Update

The recent Covid Outbreak means the situation could still change at short notice. The school you have chosen as your preferred option should be contacted to check near to the exam date. The local council may have details too.

Over the last 5 years the exam has changed its characteristics a little, especially in the Maths part of the examination, which has seemed to have got a little easier. This does however just increase the pass mark required although may help children with lower confidence.

Areas not tested have been: 

• Ratio and Proportion
• Algebra

This brings the test more in line with the current Key Stage 2 syllabus which is how it should be, leaving areas out that were frequently only covered by Private schools.
